Founder and CEO
| The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BARS DEVELOPMENTS INC. is Ivars John Bars. Mr. Bars is a licensed Attorney, a licensed General Contractor and a licensed Real Estate Broker. Mr. Bars was born in 1954 in Toronto, Canada. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Toronto, and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto, Canada. He is a member of The State Bar of California (Member No. 101562), The District of Columbia Bar (Member No. 414242), and The Law Society of Upper Canada (Bar of Ontario, Canada, Member No. 20843N). He started his legal career in 1981 as International Legal Counsel in the BCE Inc. (Bell Canada Enterprises) group of companies (www.bce.ca). In 1989 he became an equity partner in the Washington, D.C. law office of Pepper Hamilton LLP (www.pepperlaw.com). He moved to California in 1992 and became an equity partner in the San Francisco law office of Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP (www.cbmlaw.com). His primary practice area as an attorney was international contract law and development projects. |  |

Mr. Bars has been involved in construction his entire life, starting with helping his father to build a summer cottage at age 5. As a college student he worked in construction for Pitts Engineering Construction Ltd. (now Aecon Group Inc. – www.aecon.com). During the past decade Mr. Bars has been involved with the development and construction of various real estate projects including large scale custom private residences and commercial buildings. Since 2004 he has worked exclusively on real estate projects, including both residential and commercial projects. His most recent project was the construction of a new clubhouse, sound wall, pool and spa facility for Belvedere Tennis Club, a private tennis club located in Tiburon, California. |
