BARS DEVELOPMENTS INC. is a licensed General Contractor operating under license number 933242 issued by the California Contractors State License Board (www.cslb.ca.gov ). Ivars John Bars is the Qualifying Individual for the license. Our construction team is focused on residential and commercial projects with construction budgets in the range of $1 million to $40 million. Our construction team supports our own development projects, as well as providing construction work and project management for client projects.

We utilize computer software to optimize the planning, scheduling and financial controls for every project, large and small. Our unique expertise in telecommunications and infrastructure enables us to provide a very sophisticated product result in these areas for our clients and partners.

We strive to incorporate “green” building practices in our own projects, with a special focus on energy efficiency. For client projects, the level of “green” in the major components and design elements is determined by the plans and specifications prepared by the architect, in response to instructions from the owner, as well as the requirements of local governments. The gold standard for “green” construction is the LEED program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council. There are many lower levels of “green” construction which can be successfully applied in any construction project. Ultimately, the client selects the level of “green” that best suits the client’s needs.
